Feckless, faceless, fathomless sea,
Turbulent temptress torturing me.
Treacherous, tedious, testing, tyrannical,
savage, salacious, seductive, satanical,
lifegiving limitless link
Land to land, love to love, light to light-
Shall I ever cease to think-
Sea ceaselessly in sound and sight-
of sea's proud, paradoxical perversity?
Anarchic, aggressive, afflicting, adversity,
Dispensing, delight, dreams, delusions, and danger,
Murderous, mystical, musical, mood-mirror,
Hopeful, hateful home to me,
cringing, cunning, cleansing sea.
